Review Idol Round 2: Vibrating Strapless Thong

The Vibrating Strapless Thong from Pipedreams Fetish Fantasy Series is a C-string, which is basically an Alice band that slots over your crotch. It is wider on one end to provide some coverage of your vagina, while the slimmer end nestles between your buttocks to keep it held in position. The front panel also has a small pocket inside which contains a mini vibrating bullet for hands-free stimulation.

The thick cardboard packaging it comes in is far from discreet. Almost every side of the box features an image of a woman wearing nothing but the vibrating thong. There's also a lot of wasted space inside the box, which measures 8.25 inches tall, 5.5 inches wide and 3 inches in depth.

The thong has a full length of 12.5 inches from one end around to the other, and is 3 inches at its widest point. The support wire is about 1 cm thick and feels very similar to the under-wire in a bra, but a little less rigid. The wire is covered in black nylon fabric and the triangular mesh panel features a leopard print design.

With regular thongs most of the support comes from the waistband. Without that support, this strapless thong places all the pressure on your intergluteal cleft (the groove between your buttocks) which proves uncomfortable pretty quickly and can cause chafing.

The support wire springs back into its original shape which, in theory, should help it cling to your body, but has the opposite effect for me. It gradually slides down away from my crotch as the two ends of the thong draw towards each other. This seems to be aggravated by movement so I would not advise wearing this under a skirt, especially to a nightclub; It would be highly embarrassing to have your vibrating thong accidentally fall off onto the dance floor.

The box states that it could be used as beachwear but it’s extremely skimpy and doesn't provide much coverage at all therefore, unless it’s a nudist beach, you may find yourself facing a charge for indecent exposure.

The Vibrating Strapless Thong didn't come with cleaning instructions, but I would suggest washing it by hand along with your other delicates.

The mini plastic bullet that comes supplied with this thong is 2.25 inches long and about 2 inches in circumference. It offers multi-speed vibrations, which are controlled via a twist base and are powered by 3 LR44 batteries. The vibrations are quite strong but very buzzy and surface-level.

The bullet vibrator loosely slips into a small mesh pocket inside the thong. It’s easier to insert the bullet into the pocket before putting the thong on. Likewise, it’s very awkward to change the settings on the bullet while wearing the thong, so I would advise removing the thong beforehand. 

When the bullet is inserted into the pocket the front of the thong bulges out slightly, making it less discreet. You can also hear a low buzzing sound through your clothes when on the higher vibration settings.

The Vibrating Strapless thong comes with a blindfold. The blindfold measures 7.25 x 3.75 inches and has a thin, elasticated band that is about 12 inches long unstretched.

The material feels very thin and papery, it even rustles as you crinkle it up. You can’t see through the material but there’s a gap around the nose which you can see out of easily and lets in light. I find that when I'm wearing it the edges fold over too, and could really benefit from some padding to reinforce the eye mask shape.

Review Idol: Round 2 - TENGA Egg Misty

Our review item this time is Misty, one of the many variations of the TENGA one-use egg masturbators available. In total TENGA have 13 different types of this male masturbator, each egg featuring its own unique internal texture Misty's texture being a vast array of tiny bumps and teasing triangles. This isn't the first time Mr. A has been lucky enough to test one of the TENGA Egg masturbators, just last month we reviewed the Thunder version of this toy.

The TENGA egg Misty is made from a super stretchy latex free material called Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE), it may look quite small when you see it in the packaging but it can actually stretch comfortably to fit over a 500ml plastic bottle. The elasticity of the TENGA egg really does mean one size fits all, and guys of every shape and size shouldn't find an issue with using this masturbator. TENGA state that each egg will stretch up to 12 inches in length and 6 inches in girth.

Each egg comes with a sachet of lube (containing: Water, Glycerin, Polyacrylate Na, Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Methylparaben) which you place around the lip of the masturbator and on the inside to help ensure it slides onto the shaft of the penis without any discomfort.

 

To use the egg you simply take off the wrapper and open the casing to reveal to soft squishy masturbator. Lube the egg as mentioned above and then you're ready to go. It's recommended to treat the egg like a condom when placing it over your erect penis. Pinching the top of the egg before placing it over will prevent damage.

Once over your penis it's down to you (or your partner) to pull the sleeve up and down the length of your penis and enjoy the eggs internal texture. Twisting the egg over the shaft will add extra pleasure to the experience and intensify the feeling the bumps and nodules have on your penis.

Having used a number of Tenga one-use products before I knew what to expect from this product. When the TENGA egg Misty first arrived I was amazed at how small it was, in my head I was expecting something a lot bigger. But once I'd opened it up and saw how stretchy the product actually was, I understand why TENGA boast how it can fit almost all sizes.

The Japanese are well known for utilising space and this product really shows that off. In the egg you will find the masturbator sleeve itself along with a set of instructions, a sachet of lube (5ml) and a plastic support which is designed to keep the toy in shape during transit.

The last time we used a TENGA egg I let Miss K take the reigns, this resulted in her getting carried away and breaking the masturbator mid-use! So to stop this from happening this time I thought I'd have a solo session while Miss K was at work.

What I love about the TENGA egg range (in fact all the one-use TENGA products) is that they're ready to use straight away. Although to do this I needed to use both hands to twist and rotate the egg around so it was a bit harder to control, but if it was your partner who was doing it for you then it would certainly be an knee quivering egg-perience (ok I'm done!).

To compare both the Misty and the Thunder with each other I'd say there's not much in it really. I preferred the Misty because it's texture contains more mini bumps in contrast to the Thunders more pronounced texture that was nice but not my preference.

The negative to this product is the fact it's made of quite a fine material (this became clear the first Egg we tested). The main reason for this is because TENGA recommend these products as single use, once you're finished it's intended to be binned (mainly for hygiene reasons). There is nothing stopping you from cleaning it up and using it again at a different time, but still you'd be lucky if it lasts 2-3 uses.

For this reason, and as the price of an egg is £9.99 I'd recommend the TENGA eggs as a mini gift for your loved one, whether it's a mini birthday extra or stocking filler at Christmas these eggs are perfect.

Since I missed out on the first use of this toy I insisted we save it for a second use (actually Mr A insisted, oh and apologies for all his bad jokes!!). The last time we used a TENGA egg I was very impressed with the effect it seemed to have during Mr A's treat. As I broke the first one we tested I was a little more gentle with this one! With that noted, and Mr A's new technique to try, I lubed up the toy and gave it a go. The one thing I noticed with this TENGA egg is that it gave an immediate response! Just using it on the end of the penis with minimal effort seems to give good pleasure, so I started off slowly and built up to using both hands, rolling the TENGA egg in-between my hands so it rotated quickly on the penis.

I was conscious of breaking the end like last time I have to say, so I kept adjusting the egg so the end wasn't too stretched. I also think I got a bit carried away with the lube and applied a too much, spilling onto the outside and making the whole thing extremely slippy. When the lube dried a little it was easier to handle. Although I have to say I don't think Mr A realised these few complications as he was having far too much fun! I really love to pleasure my man and I have to say this is one of the best reactions from a toy I've seen! We also realised that the egg seemed to desensitise the penis, making him last longer. So needless to say this and his face turned me on, and one thing lead to another... So I got pleasure from this toy too! Very impressed TENGA.

• Get your moneys worth - If you clean the toy out properly you could get more than one use out of it (although this isn't recommended by TENGA)
• It's good to share - Using it as a couple is a really fun experience, and really turns your partner on

I was delighted to receive the Crystal Glass Kegel Eggs from Voluptasse to review. I adore glass toys but had never tried glass kegel eggs before. I have had a serious problem with your standard kegel balls, getting them to 'fit' is a nightmare but I think it was more to do with the shape so was hoping I'd have more luck with these egg shaped ones.

The eggs are made from Borosilicate glass which is a very safe material to use for sex toys, it isn't porous and doesn't contain latex or phthalates so is very safe for your body. For those that don't know, Borosilicate glass is like the same glass as Pyrex dishes are made from so it is very sturdy and takes a lot to break it. Because it is glass you should always examine your eggs before using, just to check for any chips or cracks but if you look after your glass toys they will last a life time.

The eggs come nestled in plastic and inside a cardboard box with a window so you can see the eggs before you take them out. Also inside the box is a rather useful instruction leaflet telling you how to find your kegel muscles and the best way to use the eggs properly. You also get a little black satin pouch to store your eggs when not in use.

These petite glass love eggs are made from clear glass with a pretty pink swirls on them, they measure 1.75 inches each in length and have a girth of 3.5 inches. They each weigh around 34g each or 68g if worn together so a reasonable weight to them. If you aren't used to wearing kegel eggs then you can start with wearing one egg and working up to two.

They are super easy to use, just use a spot of lube, either silicone or water based, which ever you like and either slip in one or both the eggs. Both eggs will give you a better workout. I had planned to do an experiment to see if regular use would in fact strengthen my kegel muscles but due to an injury I haven't been able to. Because these eggs are so comfortable and easy to use I don't see why they won't improve my muscle tone with regular use. Being made of glass they are super easy to clean. They are totally submersible and can be cleaned with a sex toy cleaner or hot water and soap. Over all I found these eggs really comfortable to wear, a little trickier to remove than regular kegel balls, just means you have to use those muscles. They are really good quality, reasonably heavy little eggs, pretty too! If it wasn't for having a teenager in the house I would have them sitting on my bedside table. The website also has an informative ‘How To’ section which advises shoppers on the differing type of products which may suit their needs and handy tips for using their product once it arrives. I particularly enjoyed the ‘How to find the G Spot’ section and liked the exercises that were provided for assistance.

However, there were certain parts of the site where I found the air of superiority a little insulting and occasionally dismissive of customers who aren’t of a certain class. If I was shopping the site as a consumer I would find it off putting as I do tend to take things too personally (as my husband likes to remind me!)

Embarrassing Story of the Week!

My friend set me up on a blind date friend of his. I was supposed to meet my date at 8pm but got there early because I was nervous and wanted a few drinks to chill myself out.
