Review Idol Round Three: Clone-A-Willy

The toy is created by making a ‘negative’ mould of the penis and then filling the mould, when dry, with the liquid-rubber mixture to make the authentic, extremely detailed dildo. Insert the vibrator when the rubber's wet, wait 24 hours, and Voilà!

The instructions themselves highlight the importance of reading through three of the steps before continuing, this is to ensure you get the best possible product out of your kit. There are also some really useful tips included, like: 'Use a penis pump/cockring to help your penis stay harder for longer' and the very helpful 'what if my penis is crooked?' section.

Each chemical part of the kit is fully explained and each component listed, which is great as it ensures there are no allergic reactions to the materials. The moulding powder is completely body-safe and hypoallergenic and is derived from seaweed, which means the only part of the cloning process to touch the most sensitive part of your body is extremely safe. The finished dildo is made of body-safe silicone, phthalate and latex free, non-allergenic and is platinum cured, the gold standard of sex toy materials. The two rubber components are tested and contain no harmful ingredients.

We were going to illustrate step by step images to show how we cloned Mr. A's penis, however, when looking at the Clone-a-willy website we found their video to be very informative. It's perfect for showing you how the process works, on top of reading their excellent instructions.

We were so excited to try this out! This was one of those toys we'd heard about and really wanted to try, so anticipation was high, and I personally really wanted to own a toy based on Mr. A's perfect penis! So one quiet Saturday night in, we decided to try out the kit.

Gathering all of the contents, we saw that the instructions recommend reading step 3 to 5 before starting, and this really helped us to get the process right and on time. The reasoning behind this is, once the water is at the right temperature and you add this to the mould powder, you have 2 minutes to get the mixture into the tube and get his penis in there! We felt the pressure and really wanted to get the most out of this toy. To prepare, we made sure we knew the process in the instructions, and we had everything set up and ready beforehand. We also had an old tea towel on the floor, which we were glad we did as when he inserted his penis, some of the mixture splatted onto the floor. This wasn't a problem as we did the whole thing in our kitchen, to ensure none of the mixture got onto any of our carpets. By doing this, the moulding mixture dried into a rubbery consistency and was easily peeled off the floor, and surfaces were cleaned easily afterwards. This doesn't mean your cat won't come and investigate, thinking the mixture is milk and try to lick it (which was a funny sight seeing Mr.A with the moulding tube on his penis while trying to move the cat away)!!

I have to say, we had real fun making this toy! He demanded that I had to get him hard, and while he kept it that way (with the help of a cockring), I made sure the water temperature was right for the mixture. Getting the temperature right was harder than I thought, and I found it was easier to fill the measuring cup with warm water and see if the temperature was right, than to run the thermometer under the tap. Maybe have a go at getting this right before you start too; as this made me nervous we might get it wrong! We timed, mixed and then poured successfully, and Mr A had his penis in a mould.

Before putting the toy together, we had a look and try of the vibrator, which is a very simple design. AA battery controlled, simply screw off the cap, insert the battery, screw back on, and switch on. The vibrator felt quite powerful to hold, and even though it only had one setting, it felt strong enough to do its job. Inserted into the rubber, however, this did seem to dull the power of the toy down a little. Never-the-less, after a good clean with soap and water, I had a go with the toy.

The finished product is so detailed and fantastic! I was truly impressed with the life-like appearance! The silicone itself looks a little bubbly in places, and the feel of it is a little sticky, rather than smooth. I found adding water-based lube to the toy, made the surface incredibly smooth and soft and felt extremely life-like! I loved how Mr A's form had been captured perfectly; every vein and bump of skin, and the oh-so-perfect curve that means he always hits the right spot! I was very excited to try out this toy!

I actually found the vibrations enough to do the job and I found this was a really interesting toy to try out. The whole experience was very enjoyable, we had a really good laugh making it and this is now one of my favourites due to its very personal nature. One downside is that the toy doesn't come with anything to store your new vibrator in, so I had to use the satin bag of a previous toy to keep my spare Mr. A clean and stored neatly. This toy has many positives as a woman and as a couple. I would really recommend this as a sexy, intimate experience. The life-like familiarity was amazing, and I really enjoyed Mr A's perfectly natural curve touching my G-spot, something I can't usually get from anything other than the real thing!

As soon as I opened the Clone-a-willy kit I thought, “shit…everyone’s going to see my penis”. Once the worry of exposing my family jewels to the Internet had past, I couldn’t wait to get playing with this moulding kit.

On the Saturday night just before X-Factor I couldn’t resist the urge any more. I brought the kit downstairs and I stripped down naked in the kitchen. I was already practically hard with the thought of the fun Miss K and I was about to have.

My main worry about this kit wasn’t putting my penis into some odd setting liquid with the chance of it getting stuck, but more the fact there were a lot of instructions. I know that Miss K is appalling at following instructions, so while trying to stay hard I was trying to keep a beady eye on her to make sure she was following them fully. All I can say is she really impressed me with her scientific precision and strict timings throughout. This either shows how well written the Clone-a-willy kit instructions are, or Miss K really wanted a perfect copy of my penis.

While Miss K was working on the moulding mixture I was keeping myself erect, using a cockring ensured blood supply stayed in my penis and also made my little fella look more impressive. Once Miss K had the mixture ready she pored it into the moulding tube and it was ready for me to insert my penis into. Like Miss K has said, make sure you're not on carpet as the tube will overflow when you're inserted into it. Once you're in, it's just a case of waiting till the mixture is set. It's not an unpleasant feeling being in the tube, just a little odd. As my penis has a slight curve I could see the head of it at the side of the mould, to stop this the instructions recommend your rotate the tube around. Rotating the tube helped and ensured the final results weren't misshaped in any way.

Once the couple of minutes of setting time were up it was really easy to slide my penis out of the mould. The mixture had splashed a bit on my chest and testicles but as it had dried it was really easy to clean off (like wise where it had splashed on the towel and tiled floor). Now it was a case of leaving it 3 hours to set properly before we added the rubber mixture, so we sat back down to watch Saturday night TV. Just before bed we started the final step of adding the rubber mixture. In the mould water had started to form, so to stop this we just tipped it out into the sink so we could carry on. As I wasn't butt naked and erect in the kitchen this time I was able to help with the final part. As Miss K prepared the square piece of cardboard to support the vibrator, I put some elbow grease into combining the two rubber mixes.

Both of us were a little concerned that there wouldn't be enough mixture to fill the mould, so we cut a bit off the top of the penis mould just in case. This is something we shouldn't have done, the rubber mixture went quite a long way and as soon as we added the vibrating bullet to the mould the liquid rubber overflowed out of the toy. Having a look at the Clone-A-Willy website you might require extra rubber mixture if your penis is over 9 inches.

24hrs later and my replica penis was ready. I was looking forward to seeing the end results and see if it was as the kit describes. I was extremely impressed with the outcome; the Clone-A-Willy kit really does create a perfect replica. From a guy perspective it's bloody weird holding a replica of your penis in your hands, being able to see it at every angle and at eye level is something us guys don't get the chance to do. A few months ago I was asked to write a review for a penis pump, in it I talked about penis confidence and being happy with the penis size you have. I really think this kit could help build a bit of confidence for anyone this may affect. Seeing your penis close up and detached from your body you'd be amazed how much bigger you are in comparison to what you think you are.

The Clone-A-Willy kit has really impressed me, the quality is of a good standard and from the companies website it sounds like the toy itself will out last me (makes for an interesting family heirloom)! I love the idea of when I'm at work Miss K can still use my penis, I also like the idea of using it on Miss K while she's pleasuring me. It's great fun as a couple to make, and I wouldn’t recommend you create it on your own, as it’d be too difficult.

So I’ll end my part of the review by letting you decide if you see the end results or not…

Overall, the vibration performance of this toy doesn't impress, so it loses a few scores for its simple vibrator and lack of storage. We think this toy could suit a luxe version; we'd definitely pay a little more for a slightly stronger vibrator.

However, as an incredibly fun novelty item and fully functional sex toy, this was both a brilliant experience to make and to use! The whole experience was incredibly interesting, particularly for us both to see his penis in all its glory! Perfect for those in a long-distance relationship, I'll definitely be using this toy when missing Mr A!  

Review Idol Round 2: Vibrating Strapless Thong

The Vibrating Strapless Thong from Pipedreams Fetish Fantasy Series is a C-string, which is basically an Alice band that slots over your crotch. It is wider on one end to provide some coverage of your vagina, while the slimmer end nestles between your buttocks to keep it held in position. The front panel also has a small pocket inside which contains a mini vibrating bullet for hands-free stimulation.

The thick cardboard packaging it comes in is far from discreet. Almost every side of the box features an image of a woman wearing nothing but the vibrating thong. There's also a lot of wasted space inside the box, which measures 8.25 inches tall, 5.5 inches wide and 3 inches in depth.

The thong has a full length of 12.5 inches from one end around to the other, and is 3 inches at its widest point. The support wire is about 1 cm thick and feels very similar to the under-wire in a bra, but a little less rigid. The wire is covered in black nylon fabric and the triangular mesh panel features a leopard print design.

With regular thongs most of the support comes from the waistband. Without that support, this strapless thong places all the pressure on your intergluteal cleft (the groove between your buttocks) which proves uncomfortable pretty quickly and can cause chafing.

The support wire springs back into its original shape which, in theory, should help it cling to your body, but has the opposite effect for me. It gradually slides down away from my crotch as the two ends of the thong draw towards each other. This seems to be aggravated by movement so I would not advise wearing this under a skirt, especially to a nightclub; It would be highly embarrassing to have your vibrating thong accidentally fall off onto the dance floor.

The box states that it could be used as beachwear but it’s extremely skimpy and doesn't provide much coverage at all therefore, unless it’s a nudist beach, you may find yourself facing a charge for indecent exposure.

The Vibrating Strapless Thong didn't come with cleaning instructions, but I would suggest washing it by hand along with your other delicates.

The mini plastic bullet that comes supplied with this thong is 2.25 inches long and about 2 inches in circumference. It offers multi-speed vibrations, which are controlled via a twist base and are powered by 3 LR44 batteries. The vibrations are quite strong but very buzzy and surface-level.

The bullet vibrator loosely slips into a small mesh pocket inside the thong. It’s easier to insert the bullet into the pocket before putting the thong on. Likewise, it’s very awkward to change the settings on the bullet while wearing the thong, so I would advise removing the thong beforehand. 

When the bullet is inserted into the pocket the front of the thong bulges out slightly, making it less discreet. You can also hear a low buzzing sound through your clothes when on the higher vibration settings.

The Vibrating Strapless thong comes with a blindfold. The blindfold measures 7.25 x 3.75 inches and has a thin, elasticated band that is about 12 inches long unstretched.

The material feels very thin and papery, it even rustles as you crinkle it up. You can’t see through the material but there’s a gap around the nose which you can see out of easily and lets in light. I find that when I'm wearing it the edges fold over too, and could really benefit from some padding to reinforce the eye mask shape.

- Better suited for those with a smaller frame

Bottom Line:*

I'm not a fan of under-wires in my bras, why would I want them in my panties?

Well, here we go with my responses to the very lucky finalists in the Voluptasse Review Idol competition. These entrants are battling it out for a permanent reviewer spot on behalf of Voluptasse.co.uk.

The finalists are Mistress Velvet, Toy Addict and XtraCurricular. In order to give a clear and easily understood opinion on each review, I will take them in turn, conveying my thoughts and opinions, as a professional sex toy reviewer of many years.

Mistress Velvet - Spencer & Fleetwood Chocolate Body Paint

There is no doubt that Mistress Velvet has provided a visually alluring sex toy review, with many beautiful pictures both of the product in use and her exquisite lingerie.

The copy in the review, on the other hand, unfortunately felt a little rushed. The punctuation and grammar could be improved.

On a personal level, although this was a shining recommendation for the product, I have actually tried Spencer and Fleetwood Chocolate Body Paint and it didn't taste nice at all. I'm aware we all have different tastes but the chocolate was grainy, low quality and not something I'd choose to eat a lot of. Therefore I did find it hard to believe that this entrant found the product as amazing as was made out in the review.

Toy Addict - Lip Vibe

In her review of the Lip Vibe, Toy Addict adopted a neutral, professional reviewer tone which gives the reader the chance to receive only the facts without any unnecessary fluff.

The images in the review are of the product and informative. You can view the product both in the packet and from many angles, which is what readers look for.

The review is well detailed, with a handy summary of the pros and cons at the end. After reading this review you know exactly what to expect when you buy this product.

XtraCurricular - Rabbit Loop Cock Ring

Having visited XtraCurricular.co.uk, I have to say I am very impressed by both the navigation and design of this sex toy review website. The graphic design background of the founder is clearly evident, with well placed and designed banners with clear direction and no fuss.

This design trend continues in the Review Idol entry from XtraCurricular, with a beautiful banner at the top and clear photographs.

The copy is not quite at the same level as the images, with a few unfortunate grammar errors and typos which make the review seem rushed. The material type wasn't specified either, which many readers will need to know.

I do like the two for one feel of the XtraCurricular review, with feedback from both him and her. There are useful tips given at the end and a link back to the product too.

In summary, the three reviews are all beautiful and well presented. When it comes down to details, I prefer Toy Addict's review over the other two, due to the amount of information about the product you can glean, which is what a product review is for, when you think about it.

The neutral tone, the professional standard of copy and photography and the clear layout makes this the winner in my mind.

REVIEW IDOL ROUND 1; Chocolate Body Paint

I am Mistress_Velvet and I am going to review for you the most delicious body paint ever. I was absolutely delighted to be chosen to review for Voluptasse.

When I was sent a tube of Spencer and Fleetwood’s Chocolate Body Paint from Voluptasse to review for the REVIEW IDOL COMPETITION my first thoughts were ‘oh god this is going to taste horrible’ but I could not have been more wrong. Made in Belgium I must say that it is most certainly 150g of divine gooey chocolate body paint indeed.

Packed in a slim line tube with a flip cap it is perfect for handling and squeezing, I found you needed either a good grip or two hands to squeeze it though because it was not for coming out of the tube in a hurry.

The chocolate paint was easy to spread and smear across the skin and a whole lot of fun to do. Non sticky or greasy and smells as divine as it tastes, dissolves quickly on a warm tongue and very easy to clean off the skin (and bed sheets)

Coming complete with a brush, which was of a high quality, no bristles were shed when in use, it was easy to use, allowing you to be more creative with your body art and cleaned really well.

The taste is amazing and to be honest I would not think twice about squirting it on my dessert, or being his dessert!

I highly recommend you give this a whirl, it is a whole lot of fun, messy granted but fun and you could use it for so many different aspects of your foreplay sessions… or to enhance his dessert.  Priced at £6.99 it will not break the bank for you to try something different and have a little fun.

150g of pure chocolate decadence in my opinion and worth every penny. I would rate this product as a MUST BUY and recommend it to all of you.

Review Idol Round 1: Lip Vibe

The Lip Vibe is a discreet clitoral vibrator disguised as a lipstick. It's for external use only, meaning it should not be inserted, but can still be used to stimulate your clitoris, nipples or other sensitive areas on your body. 

It comes packaged in a plastic box that features a very retro, artistic image of a woman applying lipstick. The box measures just over 4.5 inches tall, 2.5 inches wide and has a depth of 1 inch. 

The box contains the vibrator, two N size batteries and two instruction streets. One of these sheets contains generic information about using vibrators and seems a bit pointless to me, whereas the other is specific to the Lip Vibe and has pictures demonstrating how to open the battery compartment and insert the battery. 

The vibrator measures about 3 inches long and has a circumference of 2.75 inches. Its body is made from hard plastic in a dark rose shade of pink. The plastic is translucent, so on close inspection you may be able to see parts of the internal mechanism of the vibrator. It has a sparkly pink rounded tip which twists out just like a real lipstick, extending to half an inch. Although the toy is mostly made from plastic, the tip is made from silicone so must only be used with water-based lubricant. 

The tip is very firm but as it glides across your skin the silicone replicates the feeling of a creamy lipstick, without leaving any messy lipstick marks behind. It's a very pleasant sensation, and you can use it with or without the vibrations to mix things up a little. When rubbing it against your clitoris it feels like someone is gently stroking it with their finger. 

This vibrator runs on one N battery, which comes supplied along with a spare for your convenience. The base of the Lip Vibe pulls off to reveal the battery compartment. The battery compartment cap is very small and fiddly so the instructions suggest using a coin to twist it open. 

The bottom half of the Lip Vibe twists to raise the silicone tip up and down. There's nothing to keep the base locked into place, so when I'm trying to pull the lid off to use this toy I often find myself accidentally opening the bottom half instead, which can be somewhat frustrating.

When the tip is fully extended the single speed vibrations will turn on. The vibrations travel throughout the whole toy, but seem to be mostly targeted in the tip, which is better for pinpoint precision. It's not a quiet toy but the noise is easily muffled under the bed covers and they shouldn't be heard through a closed door. When you are finished playing with the Lip Vibe, simply twist the base to retract the tip and stop the vibrations. 

This sex toy isn't waterproof so don't attempt to use it in bath as this will damage the vibrator. This also means you have to take extra care when cleaning it. Don't submerge it in water, use a damp cloth or an antibacterial toy cleansing wipe instead. Lubricant tends to get trapped between the silicone tip and the inner side of the lipstick chamber, which can be a tricky area to get into to clean properly. 

Its small size and plastic cap make this vibrator the perfect travel companion. You don't need to worry about finding a storage bag for this because the lid acts as its own built-in storage case, which protects the toy and keeps it clean in your suitcase. 

The Lip Vibe really is very discreet. If I was to drop my bag and have this roll out onto the floor I wouldn't be too flustered about people seeing it. When you place it next to real lipstick it's a bit more obvious that it's not genuine but I doubt most people would pay any mind to it.

I'm quite impressed as far as the design of the Lip Vibe is concerned, but the vibrations are too weak for me and the toy is quite poorly made. Even so, it's cute, novel and non-threatening so would make a fun little gift, especially to a beginner or as part of a hen party goodie bag. 

Pros:

Inconspicuous design.

Travel friendly.

Firm yet soft on the skin.

Cons:

Not waterproof. 

Awkward battery compartment.

Loose base. 

Bottom Line:

A brilliant concept but rather fiddly and not enough power.

The Basics

I was excited to open our first review idol item from Voluptasse as I had no idea what it was going to be. From the packaging design and look of the toy I could tell it was an affordable sex toy. We've used and reviewed a few cock rings over time and have been quite disappointed by many of them. Looking at this one though I could spot a few nice features that I've not seen on more expensive cock rings.

One of the features I loved about the Rabbit Loop Cock Ring is the vibrating bullet, it's not the most powerful of bullets, but it's powerful enough to send vibrations up the full length of the penis. One of the things I've found awkward about some cock rings is the on and off button, which is usually a small fiddly button on the side. I find these are far too sensitive and also prone to break. On the Rabbit Loop, the on and off button is a wide ring in the centre of the bullet that you slide to the left to turn on, and slide to the right to turn off. It's a simple touch but really works, it means once it's on there's no chance it'll accidentally turn off. Once on the bullet easily fits into the small band in between the rabbit's head and the cock ring. We turned the bullet on and attached it to the cock ring before putting it onto my penis.

The ring itself is very sturdy yet flexible, as the image shows above you can stretch it quite far meaning it should fit most penis sizes. Using a bit of lube around the inside of the cock ring and the penis made it very easy to put on (you need to make sure your penis is erect to put this one on). Once on, the ring feels quite tight but not in an uncomfortable way, it desensitised my penis slightly during sex but this helped increase the duration of our session (no complaints from either of us on that one). The inside of the ring isn't smooth but bumpy which added slightly to the overall experience at the beginning and while putting it on, but not really something that stimulates your penis during sex as it stays where you put it. 

As I mention above during sex the cock ring helped desensitise my penis but not in an unpleasant way, it was still enjoyable. The cock ring also made my penis harder as it's keeping the blood flowing in making all the veins bulge out and overall look of the penis harder and slightly bigger. The vibrations are a nice extra and add additional pleasure during intercourse. For me the vibrations were enough for extra stimulation, but I don't think it was enough for Miss K (as I'm sure you'll hear from her below).

To clean the toy it couldn't be simpler, remove the vibrating bullet and wash the cock ring using warm soapy water or if you have any sex toy cleaner. We don't think the bullet is waterproof so if you need to clean it we recommend non-fragranced anti bacterial wipes.

For a basic vibrating cock ring that's under £10 I'm really impressed. I enjoyed the overall experience and think it's a good toy for those who have tried a standard cock ring and are interested in experimenting with a vibrating one.

When receiving this toy, I first thought it looked like a simple cock ring style toy, with rabbit ears for clitoral stimulation and a bullet vibrator. I like the light-blue design, with the graphics on the card also being blue, and advertising the point of the toy. The material feels really durable and elastic, particularly the ring, which is great for easy application of a toy like this. The rabbit ears are delicate and really carry the vibrations up to the tip of the ears, great for clitoral stimulation. On a closer look, there's a little smiling rabbit face on the toy, which I found to be a bit weird, but a bit quirky and funny too. The vibrations from the bullet feel very strong and travel throughout the toy, meaning great stimulation for both partners.

When checking out the instructions of this toy to see if there were any good tips for usage, I found them to actually be really unhelpful! The instructions were generic for the NMC toys and even though it gives battery insertion and instruction for use, neither made sense for this toy! Luckily we're familiar with cock rings and used this toy without any issues.

From my satisfaction point of view, however, I found the vibrations to be a lot less intense to those I'm used to, maybe I've been spoiled in the past with more intense vibrating bullets! It really seemed to help satisfy Mr. A as he looked as though he enjoyed the vibrations and it did help prolong his performance due to the tightness of the ring. When first using this toy I confess I did get a little bored in warming myself up and had to use another toy to do this. During intercourse I found the friction of the toy to be more satisfying than the vibrations. The rabbit ears didn't really provide enough stimulation on the clitoris for me to find enjoyable.

I don't give up on this toy, however, as I think with a more sensitive and gentle approach could be taken to get the most from this toy. It gives a great tickle sensation and would be great for positions where there is a little bit more space between you and your partner.    

Tips

• Make sure you use lubrication on the inside of the cock ring so it slides on over your penis easier.

• Before you use this toy with your partner we recommend you test the size by putting the ring on before hand to ensure it's not too tight. This will also mean it's not going to distract you during the act if it's a new experience for you and your partner.

• As a cock ring is designed to prevent blood flow from leaving the penis make sure you're not wearing the cock ring for too long. 30 mins usage at a time is recommended.

• Guys if you're feeling particularly selfish try wearing the ring so the rabbit is facing down towards you so the rabbit ears tickle around your testicle area.

• Girls as this bullet is removable you can always use the bullet as a clitoral stimulator on it's own. The little bumps on the end of the bullet will also add to your personal pleasure.

Over all this toy is a bargain at £7.95 and we recommend it for anyone whose wanting an upgrade from a none vibrating cock ring, or in fact any one new to cock rings. Just be sure to practice putting it on before hand so you know how it feels and what to expect.
