Review of the Ann Summers Candy Floss O-Gel

As a former employee of Ann Summers I have always been a huge fan of the Ann Summers Pleasure Gel. However, over the last 12 months there has been a lot of talk about the CandyFloss Screaming O-Gel. One girl I spoke to even confessed to buying tubs of the Candy Floss O-Gel to eat whilst she watches television (true story!) so I went to my local store in Blackburn and decided to treat myself to a tub and review it. For scientific purposes, obviously....

The tub costs £6.00 for 75ml which I found to be very reasonable and comes in a very pretty pink squeezy tub. As usual, the Staff in our Blackburn branch were helpful and friendly and the carrier bags they use are very thick so your purchases can not be seen by other shoppers.

Having looked on the Ann Summers Website I also notice that there are also several other flavours of the O-Gel available such as Chocolate Orange, Raspberry Ripple and Cherry Pie. All sounding equally as lovely!The Chocolate Orange Gel even has two pounds off at the moment so you can grab yourself a Christmas bargain.

Looking at the ingredients of the Candy Floss O-Gel I notice that it does contain Glycerin so it isnt recommended for use on women who are prone to yeast infections but it can still be used on a partner and enjoyed so I wasn't put off by this. The instuctions on the back also remind buyers that this is to be used solely for foreplay and is not for lubrication purposes.

The tub itself is easy to open and is sealed underneath the lid so it cannot be tampered with. Once opened I was hit by a very strong smell of candy floss and it smelled quite lovely! I applied lashings of the O-Gel and found that it tasted very, very sweet. It didnt have a nasty synthetic taste like a lot of flavoured Gels but I didn't enjoy it at all.

I did soon realise however that I had used far too much in my excitement and it does only need a very small amount of the Gel. When we tried the second time around it was a much more pleasent experience and I enjoyed usuing it.

Because it contains Glycerin, my partner could not use it on me but he liked the warming sensations that it created on himself and obviously liked the encouragement of more oral foreplay from me!
It is a very thick gel and the smell does linger for quite some time afterwards so a shower will be be required.

To sum up my review, I do really like this Gel, its very sweet so only requires a tiny amount when using and will therefore last for a while. Because it is used sparingly, there wasnt a huge amount of mess to clean up either. It has a lovely smell and flavour and is packaged nicely. It is small enough to be stored away from prying eyes and I liked the pink packaging because its girly, like me!

Its easy to obtain any of the O-Gel range if you dont have an Ann Summers store in your town because it is sold both Online and through the Ann Summers Home Party Network. The parties also offer commission for Hostesses so perhaps treat your friends to a get together and you may even get it for free if they buy enough to cover the cost!

I am hoping that Santa brings me the other 3 flavours in my stocking this year.... Watch this Space!

Review of the Give Lube Premium Aqua Gel

 

 

We all know how difficult it is to find a good Lubricant that is safe to use. Its not always enough to rely on a womans natural lubrication and a good Lubricant is an essential part of our sex lives. It is also a CE Marked Lubricant which means that it meets the European Safety Regulations and is safe to use on your body.

The Give Lube Website itself contains lots of fun information and tips about how to properly use their Lubricants and also warns of the problems associated with Lubes that don't use the same body safe products that are found in in the Give Lube Range.

I found the website easy to use and enjoyed reading the Sex Tips, I actually learned a few new tricks myself so the other half will be happy! They also have an Ethos that talks about the importance of giving and receiving in both the bedroom and relationships which i thought was nice - and very wise...

My Premium Aqua Gel arrived from the Give Lube office in a plain brown envelope so it was very discreet. The Aqua Gel is contained in a tough plastic tube that is sealed with a cellophane wrapper  that is very easy to tear off.

The flip top lid is easy to open and all that is needed to pour the lube out is a little shake of the bottle. It might have been a little easier with a squeezy bottle it is still very easy to use and i had no problems with usage.

I used the Aqua Gel on my partner first and warmed it up in my hands first to reduce any 'shock sensations'. I found that it had a very slippery but silky feel and made it much easier to masturbate my partner because of the loss of friction that it provided. Review of the Surprise Voluptasse Stocking - Couples

The website also offers information about the size of the Sexand Mischief ball Gag in both length and diameter and includes handy information about any contentious materials used which I thought was excellent as I have an allergy to nickel and it confirmed that the gag was nickel free. It is also Phthalates free. The strap goes directly through the middle of the gag so it is perfectly safe to use.

Starting with the basics, the ball is small enough to hide away in your top drawer or Lunchboxxx Storage Box as the leather strap is soft and flexible and easily rolls up. The gag can be cleaned with soap and water or ordinary toycleaner from the Uberkinky range.

When I first put the gag on I struggled with the sensation of not being able to breathe and needed to have a few minutes to get used to breathing through my nose. Abuse in the Home - the Voluptasse Refuge Appeal

We all know the statistics and we all know that it happens to Men, Women, Children and even Animals.

I could also sit here all day and tell you how unacceptable abuse in the home is but its something that we ALL already know and I dont want to preach to you about it. Its something that happens far too often and is far too often ignored...

What I do want to discuss today are the courageous people that find the strength to break away from this abuse and start their lives again.

I recently attended the trial of my Sisters ex husband after he denied hitting her in the face with a car door. In this trial the Prosecuting Solicitor went over the whole 15 years of mental and physical abuse and the suffering that both her and her children went through during the time that they were together, her ex partner denied everything but District Judge found him guilty of assault. He lambasted him for his behaviour and told him that he should be ashamed of himself. It was a small victory but it felt amazing! Finally someone had listened! It was during the two hour trial that I looked at my close circle of friends and realised that these incidents were not isolated incidents.

There was the girl who at 19 years old was hung by her legs from a 12 storey balcony (which he subsequently burned down that night) because she caught her partner buying drugs and dared to argue with him about it. Another friend who was beaten and sexually assaulted by her ex partner infront of her 3 daughters and another friend who will spend her whole life in hiding and in fear of a man she spend 5 hours running down a canal covered in blood to get away from. Her first thought whenever she has to move AGAIN is how far away she is from the nearest Police Station and how long it would take them to respond to a 999 call if she has to make one. She was regularly beaten with bats, stabbed with knives and hit with anything else that he could get his hands on.

These women all have one thing in common (apart from bad taste in men) and thats Courage. They all had the courage to leave and they all walked out with the clothes on their backs and nothing else.

Don't get me wrong, abuse in the home is caused by both Men and Women and is equally unacceptable by both sexes, as a retailer of Sex Toys I work in an industry that thrives on the fun aspect of a relationship. We aim to provide new thrills and pleasures that bring a couple closer together in a way that is fun and consensual and we celebrate these aspects of a relationship.

Let me explain…

The pelvic floor is a large sheet of muscles between a females pubic bone and tail bone. These muscles are important because they help hold up your bladder, vagina, uterus and bowel.  Through aging, childbirth and various other factors these muscles can become weakened and lead to urinary and fecal incontinence, loss of sexual pleasure and in serious cases a prolapse of the vagina which often requires surgery.

Regular exercises of the pelvic floor (at least once a day) can quite often prevent these conditions but the feedback I've received from friends is that these exercises are difficult to remember to do and a lot of people aren’t sure whether they are doing them correctly. With this in mind I ordered the Duo Balls from the www.voluptasse.co.uk website as I was keen to pick up my pelvic exercise routine after recently giving birth. I decided to try the Duo Balls as they were slightly larger than the stainless steel Ben-Wa balls. The steel balls have a tendency to become too slippery for an unpractised user so I decided to play it safe with a slightly larger set and see how I got on.

When the balls arrived I was pleasantly surprised at the packaging of the Duo Balls. They arrived in a plastic sleeve with a purple cardboard background and looked to be worth much more that the £5.99 that they retail for. The only down side is that they don’t contain any usage or storage instructions and fail to say whether they are safe to be cleaned with soap and water. I am not sure if that would cause any problems for a new user?

Made from a black and white plastic material, the balls appear to be strong, durable and a surface which is easy to clean. Each ball has a circumference of 4.5 inches and the whole set weighs approximately 75 grams in total. These balls are unisex and therefore can be used by both men and women.

Before using Kegal Balls, the bladder must be empty and the balls must be cleaned. I cleaned them using soap and water and put a small amount of lubricant on each one. It is important to clean the balls whenever they are taken out and before any kind of reinsertion to prevent infections.

Once inserted the balls were very easy to hold in place. Kegal balls give a feeling of ‘fullness’ but it isn’t an unpleasant sensation.  It is recommended by experts that you use Kegal Balls for at least fifteen minutes a day to help tone your pelvic floor but I tend to keep them in for the afternoon whilst I carry out my daily activities. It’s perfectly safe to do so!

Because of the weights in these balls they do jiggle together slightly and create some very pleasant sensations. It was nothing as dramatic as depicted in the Fifty Shades novels but it did encourage me to take an extra five minutes stroll to the shop and even to try running up and down the stairs a few times! Much more fun than an afternoon at the gym…

Because the Kegal balls are so discreet I wore them whilst having coffee with friends and then later for the weekly shop. No one was any wiser, the balls held firmly in place and at times it was easy to forget that they were there.

To remove the balls you simply pull the attached chord and the balls will pop out. The chord is made of strong plastic and travels through the centre of the balls for extra safety. In the unlikely event that the chord snaps, the balls can be easily removed by pushing down using your pelvic muscles.

Overall, I really enjoyed using the Duo Balls. At just £5.99 the value for money is amazing and I did get some satisfaction from their little jiggles whilst I ran my daily errands.  They are easy to use, perfect for beginners and I am particularly fond of the health benefits of using these balls.
