Review of the Surprise Voluptasse Stocking - Couples

I was pleased when Voluptasse asked me to review their Surprise Christmas Stocking as I was intrigued when I saw advertisements on Face book and Twitter. The stockings are featured in the Christmas range on the Voluptasse website.
The stocking promises to be filled with sexy treats, all individually gift wrapped and worth a minimum of £45.00 this sounds like an amazing bargain as the stocking is being sold at £29.99. Also, if you use the discount code ‘fifty’ at the checkout you will also receive £5.00 off any order that you make. (You can thank me later!)
When my stocking arrived this morning I was very excited and eager to see what it contained however, as the other half was at work I faced the dilemma of.....Do I open all the gifts myself or wait for my bloke to come home? It was a tough choice...
I decided it would be best to wait for him and see his reaction to the gifts as it was a Couples Stocking after all. Whilst I waited, I took a look at the website and noticed that they also have a single stocking for both Men and Women should you fancy a little ‘me’ time this Christmas.
Impatience started to get the better of me so I took the time to have a good feel of the presents and examine the presentation of the gift set.
The stocking was just a simple basic red stocking, there was no writing on it and it looked perhaps a little cheap. There were 5 presents in the stocking, each individually wrapped as described.  When I received the brief I was told that the colour and contents of each stocking will differ as Voluptasse will bear in mind any specific requests that buyers may have which the buyer can mention on purchase.  For example lovers of anal play ect.
Also, the wrapping on the presents could have been a bit tidier, but wrapping has never been one of Mel’s strong points. Hopefully she will get better with practice! The paper was nice decent quality, shiny silver foil with a paper backing so even with all my fiddling whilst trying to figure out what was inside, the paper didn’t rip or tear, which was disappointing because I didn’t get to have a sneaky peak!
When he FINALLY arrived home I was so excited that I ripped open the first gift, before I took the photo to show how the presents were wrapped. Therefore there is one open on the photograph but it was wrapped. Sorry I couldn’t help it!

The first gift was a Flutter Ring which is a blue cock ring, it looked fabulous and said on the packaging it was a clit tickling vibrating cock ring. The batteries were fiddly to insert but once it was up and running the vibrations were powerful and the butterfly’s antennae vibrated nicely against my finger, I couldn’t wait to get started.  It was the first thing that we tried and it was AMAZING!

My boyfriend put the cock ring on not before stretching it to make sure it was going to fit, which it did comfortably he said. The butterfly on the top of the cock ring sat nicely against my clit making me orgasm within seconds of penetration and he came shortly after. We both had a really strong orgasm and it was a really fun toy to use. In fact, we both agreed that this is the best cock ring we’ve used ever! It even comes with spare batteries, we have used this toy a few times now because we both love it and we haven’t had to replace the batteries yet.

We also received a pair of Glow in the Dark Lovers Dice. The dice are a fun way to get you started with various tasks for you to carry out on your partner when you roll the dice. We played these dice both in the light and in darkness and they do glow up really well, but we found it difficult to play in the dark as you obviously can’t see each other very well and it can get a bit fumbly, Over all it was a fun novelty game but I like being spontaneous in the bedroom and it felt a little forced. I’m not sure if I would use these again to be honest.

My ultimate favourite gift was the Kiss Me Lipstick Vibrator which I know is a Voluptasse favourite as they have reviewed this before.  My verdict – I love this little thing!!!

The product looks like a Lipstick which is discreet, pretty and girly (which I like) I love the Lipstick design because when I am not using it in the bedroom I can take it out with me in my handbag. Me and my boyfriend both loved this vibrator, it’s a bullet so the vibrations are really strong and you can turn it up or down to suit your mood.  It never fails to bring me an intense amazing orgasm within seconds and its compact enough to push inside you whilst you have sex which my partner loved. He also came within a couple of minutes which is unlike him; I’m getting the idea that he likes these vibrating toys...

The next gift was another novelty item, The Sex Calorie Counter, which I’m quite sure isn’t accurate (914 calories burned for an erotic lap dance?) It looks to be just a bit of fun, we have decided to do one Sexercise a day to keep in shape. It beats the Gym any day!  It gives you various different instructions one side for her and the other side is for him. We started with an erotic lap dance which ended with us collapsing into fits of giggles but it was good fun.

The final gift was the Romantic Coupons, which is a little booklet full of tear out slips written both in English and French. You hide them around your house for your lover to find and it has romantic games to play or tasks. I put one in my partner’s lunchbox so he got it at work he liked and it led to a full day of sexting, which was fun!
There are 20 coupons in total each with a different romantic gesture on some of which I found to be quite annoying such as shower him with 100 kisses from head to toes (as if I would kiss his smelly feet!) but I did like the slips where you fill in the blanks yourself with whatever you want, he had to do what I wanted, when I wanted and where I wanted...that was a nice half an hour!!! We also had fun trying to speak the French verses in the booklet. A good little booklet if you like being in control, more for the girls I think.
I also requested a copy of the price list so I could check the RRP of each of the items:
Lipstick Vibrator is                           £14.99
Flutterby Cock ring is                      14.99
Romantic Coupons are                 £7.99
Sex Calorie Counter is                    £4.99
Glow in the Dark Dice are             £3.99
So, the grand total of the items in my Stocking came to £46.95 which was an absolute bargain for a fun gift wrapped hassle free gift. There is a little work needed on presentation and I would like less tasks and more toys but its good value for money and I would definitely recommend it. It’s a fun little gift Idea that’ll spice up your bedroom this Christmas, I’ve got some amazing new toys that we can enjoy together and I like the idea that we can still have a bit of Romance too.

The wrapping was a little untidy.

Opened a little too soon! Thats what happens when you wait all day...

Review of the Sex and Mischief Ball Gag from Uberkinky

After the success of books such as the Fifty Shades of Grey Series and the Diary of a Submissive more people than ever are spicing things up in the bedroom with BDSM! I have never tried BDSM before and would consider myself extremely 'Vanilla' so I was excited to receive an email from Uberkinky asking me to review one of their products. It was nice to have a change and try something new!

Uberkinky are one of the leading Fetish, BDSM and Bondage Retailers in the UK and are renowned for their discreet service, vast range of products and excellent quality of both goods and customer service. They have an easy to use website and offer advice on all their products which is useful for newcomers like myself. I chose the Sex and Mischief Ball Gag  to review as it seemed the least scary and intimidating option.

The website also offers information about the size of the Sexand Mischief ball Gag in both length and diameter and includes handy information about any contentious materials used which I thought was excellent as I have an allergy to nickel and it confirmed that the gag was nickel free. It is also Phthalates free. The strap goes directly through the middle of the gag so it is perfectly safe to use.

Starting with the basics, the ball is small enough to hide away in your top drawer or Lunchboxxx Storage Box as the leather strap is soft and flexible and easily rolls up. The gag can be cleaned with soap and water or ordinary toycleaner from the Uberkinky range.

When I first put the gag on I struggled with the sensation of not being able to breathe and needed to have a few minutes to get used to breathing through my nose. The ball itself feels nice and smooth and is made of a soft vinyl so it isn’t too uncomfortable. I was conscious that I looked like a rabbit in headlights and we did take some pictures but I’ll save them for another day! (They were terrible)

I only have a small head and worried that the straps may be too loose but this gag fits comfortably as it caters for all sizes with 11 strap settings to choose from. At 5cm in diameter the ball is not too big or too small and allowed me to wear it for a good 35 minutes before I got jaw ache (bearing in mind I am a newbie).

I found it quite pleasant to use and it brought a different edge to the bedroom as it felt quite 'naughty'. We have used restraints before but this felt different because there was no kissing with the gag in, it was more animalistic. My other half wasn’t too sure about it at first but even he got into the swing of things after a while (all in the name of research of course!).

I did get a bit panicky at times when I forgot to breathe properly, but you can push the ball out with your tongue if you start to feel uncomfortable. This proved particularly tricky during an orgasm...

All in all, I liked this product. For just £9.99 it was amazing quality, it was fun to use and it brought something different to the bedroom. I would definitely use it again and recommend it for any beginner to the BDSM scene.

My only question is... what to get next? Im ready to take the next step...

Abuse in the Home - the Voluptasse Refuge Appeal

We all know the statistics and we all know that it happens to Men, Women, Children and even Animals.

I could also sit here all day and tell you how unacceptable abuse in the home is but its something that we ALL already know and I dont want to preach to you about it. Its something that happens far too often and is far too often ignored...

What I do want to discuss today are the courageous people that find the strength to break away from this abuse and start their lives again.

I recently attended the trial of my Sisters ex husband after he denied hitting her in the face with a car door. In this trial the Prosecuting Solicitor went over the whole 15 years of mental and physical abuse and the suffering that both her and her children went through during the time that they were together, her ex partner denied everything but District Judge found him guilty of assault. He lambasted him for his behaviour and told him that he should be ashamed of himself. It was a small victory but it felt amazing! Finally someone had listened! It was during the two hour trial that I looked at my close circle of friends and realised that these incidents were not isolated incidents.

There was the girl who at 19 years old was hung by her legs from a 12 storey balcony (which he subsequently burned down that night) because she caught her partner buying drugs and dared to argue with him about it. Another friend who was beaten and sexually assaulted by her ex partner infront of her 3 daughters and another friend who will spend her whole life in hiding and in fear of a man she spend 5 hours running down a canal covered in blood to get away from. Her first thought whenever she has to move AGAIN is how far away she is from the nearest Police Station and how long it would take them to respond to a 999 call if she has to make one. She was regularly beaten with bats, stabbed with knives and hit with anything else that he could get his hands on.

These women all have one thing in common (apart from bad taste in men) and thats Courage. They all had the courage to leave and they all walked out with the clothes on their backs and nothing else.

Don't get me wrong, abuse in the home is caused by both Men and Women and is equally unacceptable by both sexes, as a retailer of Sex Toys I work in an industry that thrives on the fun aspect of a relationship. We aim to provide new thrills and pleasures that bring a couple closer together in a way that is fun and consensual and we celebrate these aspects of a relationship.

This Christmas, Voluptasse wants to celebrate the courage of those Men and Women who have broken away from an abusive relationship and remind them that they are not alone.

What we are asking people to do is contact their local Councils and ask them to help get in touch with their local refuge. Once you have spoken to the refuge, arrange a collection of Toys, Chocolates, Gift Sets, Mince Pies or anything that will help bring a little extra Christmas Cheer to someone who has had the courage to uproot their families, walk away and start again.

The gifts can always be dropped off at a safe point and distributed to the refuge at Christmas time. We did it on a small scale last year and it was a huge success so we are asking everyone else to do the same for their local communities and spread some happiness this Christmas :)

Review of the Duo Balls

By Lady Spanky

He pushed my legs apart giving him full access to my pussy. I gasped as I felt him push something cold and round into me. “What are you doing?” I asked breathlessly. “They’re called Ben-Wa balls” he said, sliding another ball into me. He helped me to my feet, and I gasped again as I felt the balls move and bump against each other inside me. By the time I was standing up my breath was coming in quiet gasps, and my nipples were hard as pebbles beneath my dress.’

Fifty Shades of Grey by EL James

It was this paragraph that catapulted the Kegal balls (Ben-Wa Balls) from an ordinary sex aid to one of the ‘must have’ Sex Toys of 2012. Practical as well as exciting, the Kegal Balls are a necessary item for the collection of every woman simply because of the numerous and important health benefits that you gain from their regular usage.

Let me explain…

The pelvic floor is a large sheet of muscles between a females pubic bone and tail bone. These muscles are important because they help hold up your bladder, vagina, uterus and bowel.  Through aging, childbirth and various other factors these muscles can become weakened and lead to urinary and fecal incontinence, loss of sexual pleasure and in serious cases a prolapse of the vagina which often requires surgery.

Regular exercises of the pelvic floor (at least once a day) can quite often prevent these conditions but the feedback I've received from friends is that these exercises are difficult to remember to do and a lot of people aren’t sure whether they are doing them correctly. I recently attended a pregnancy Yoga class and there wasn't one person in that class who was sure whether she was correctly exercising her pelvic floor properly. Scary stuff!

So this is where the Kegal Balls step in!

Kegal Balls are small weighted devices that are designed to be worn inside the vagina. They are held in place by the pelvic floor muscles and give the internal area a full muscle workout discreetly and without any of the complicated exercises. As the balls knock together this often creates a feeling of arousal in the wearer because they can rub against the G Spot area.

With this in mind I ordered the Duo Balls from the www.voluptasse.co.uk website as I was keen to pick up my pelvic exercise routine after recently giving birth. I decided to try the Duo Balls as they were slightly larger than the stainless steel Ben-Wa balls. The steel balls have a tendency to become too slippery for an unpractised user so I decided to play it safe with a slightly larger set and see how I got on.

When the balls arrived I was pleasantly surprised at the packaging of the Duo Balls. They arrived in a plastic sleeve with a purple cardboard background and looked to be worth much more that the £5.99 that they retail for. The only down side is that they don’t contain any usage or storage instructions and fail to say whether they are safe to be cleaned with soap and water. I am not sure if that would cause any problems for a new user?

Made from a black and white plastic material, the balls appear to be strong, durable and a surface which is easy to clean. Each ball has a circumference of 4.5 inches and the whole set weighs approximately 75 grams in total. These balls are unisex and therefore can be used by both men and women.

Before using Kegal Balls, the bladder must be empty and the balls must be cleaned. I cleaned them using soap and water and put a small amount of lubricant on each one. It is important to clean the balls whenever they are taken out and before any kind of reinsertion to prevent infections.

Once inserted the balls were very easy to hold in place. Kegal balls give a feeling of ‘fullness’ but it isn’t an unpleasant sensation.  It is recommended by experts that you use Kegal Balls for at least fifteen minutes a day to help tone your pelvic floor but I tend to keep them in for the afternoon whilst I carry out my daily activities. It’s perfectly safe to do so!

Because of the weights in these balls they do jiggle together slightly and create some very pleasant sensations. It was nothing as dramatic as depicted in the Fifty Shades novels but it did encourage me to take an extra five minutes stroll to the shop and even to try running up and down the stairs a few times! Much more fun than an afternoon at the gym…

Because the Kegal balls are so discreet I wore them whilst having coffee with friends and then later for the weekly shop. No one was any wiser, the balls held firmly in place and at times it was easy to forget that they were there.

To remove the balls you simply pull the attached chord and the balls will pop out. The chord is made of strong plastic and travels through the centre of the balls for extra safety. In the unlikely event that the chord snaps, the balls can be easily removed by pushing down using your pelvic muscles.

Overall, I really enjoyed using the Duo Balls. At just £5.99 the value for money is amazing and I did get some satisfaction from their little jiggles whilst I ran my daily errands.  They are easy to use, perfect for beginners and I am particularly fond of the health benefits of using these balls.

A definite winner for me!
